In promoting her novel, she found a new outlet for her voice—spoken word. Her first professional piece “Put Some Respect On Our Name” earned her recognition from The Scene – Conde Nast, The Off-Broadway Play - Dimensions and The Harlem Arts Festival opening doors for her that she never imagined.
